Who else hates?

Yet another clean person. Maybe obsessively so as I'd bet that most people would think that as my 4runner sits now, it'd be clean enough and I see it as in Desperate need of a wash. A lot of that comes from my wife wearing off on me, she just feels better with a clean vehicle. But some of it comes from my mechanic background where it just sucks to work on dirty vehicles. To the point that I always spend a day cleaning and de-greasing the engine bay (bottom more than top) and undercarriage.

As for getting off-road, I do that for me and for the experience of having done it. Leaving the remnants for Other people to see is not something my soul craves, thinking about it now I'm cringing a little.

I feel you on that. Acting like you are the only dude who hits dirt in their truck is a dick move too. I guess I am just on the opposite end. I cringe a little when I see too many LEDs and sidewalls that look like they are hit with some Armor All at every stop light. Just a matter of opinions I guess. Hope 3veryone is having a good start to the New Year.

Count me in on the obsessive side of clean. Just feel the better you take care of things, the longer they last. And obviously that goes well beyond my 4Runner. If I hit some dirt/mud, I'll sometimes hold off for a few days before I clean it. But I always make sure to clean it pretty quick.

And some people think that a frame recall is necessary while driving around in caked mud to look cool.

the way i look at it, i didn't buy the thing to look pretty, i bought it to do stuff. i keep the interior clean and organized, but hardly ever wash the exterior.

honestly, i was a little more conscientious of the aesthetics before it got totaled and i had to hammer the bumper back into shape. i don't think it looks bad now, but it's a bit banged up and i've lost any interest in keeping it shiny. i've always been a function over form sort of person anyway
