Who in here doesnt have an Trail or a Limited ... Cargo question

I really want to get rid of my slider as convenient as it is ... but I want more cargo space...

So is there anyone in here that has a 4Runner Basic SR5 ??? The ones without a 3rd row seats or a slider ??? I've seen a 4runner that has a completely flat cargo area.

Can you post pics pls...

Which year/model do you have? There may be a member that is close to you who may be willing to swap with you.

Buying each and every Toyota parts to retrofit one is going to cost you an arm & a leg.

I'd totally swap with you, if mine wasn't with 3rd row seat.

I ended up with an aftermarket sliding tray.

I have a 2014 Trail Edition Premium ...

this would be optimal ... Anyone want to swap ??? I'm in Socal Long Beach Area...

How much gun gear do you have? I thought the tray only take up maybe a few inches off the body floor. You can't be stacking your stuffs all the way up to the roof.

I fail to see how removing the tray will gain you THAT much more room.

Get a roof rack, and then load up the roof with pelican cases, storm-hardigg cases or underwater kinetic cases. Plus you can put a few more scepter military fuel and water cans up there.

I like the tray so much, I think the ONLY way I will be willing to get rid of it is to replace it with TruckVaults.....

with my work stuff, backpack, work shoes, helmet, jackets...

plus my gun cart and my 2 pelican handgun cases...

PLUS I'm adding a sub ... lol running out of room slowly.

what next to me is what I bring by myself... the car gets filled when my 11yr old daughter shoots the competition with me ...

Yeah, with that cart, I can see what the tray wasn't the best setup for you. I guess, a Tacoma maybe a better fit for ya.... LOL

I still vote for the roof rack, and pelican cases can go up to.

I do IPSC/IDPA too, but I don't bring a cart nor a chair..... maybe I should... LOL..... I generally just suck it up....

Come on bro ... at some stages your waiting for an 1hour...

Well thats here in Norco. And my feet starts killing even with the salomons shoes.

You need a chair. Plus when its packed you dont have place to keep your gear. So lesson learned; thats why I got a cart...
 
2015 TE no slider or 3rd row, flat cargo area just like that picture. I would swap with you, but I am in Vegas.
 
Looked the same to me when I was in my buddy's 5th gen. But most likely there not. image.jpg

4th and 5th are not the same.

To swap, you have to strip out the whole platform down to the body. Do some searches, I have seen write ups on removal of the sliding tray.
