Thank goodness the "post whores" seem to avoid this forum.

They avoid it because i am the granddaddy of them all! On a more serious note, i agree with above...quality posts are what makes this forum great.

Yeah I have to agree with you guys. Although we may not agree at times, and have small tiffs, the overall atmosphere helps other members out tremendously. I try to post on any topic that I have knowledge on, hoping to give some sort of help to others, in the same way that I have received massive amounts of help from all of you guys, and everyone else on the forum. If I didn't have the help from everyone on here, I would just be stock, and would have no clue about any of the safety features the 4runner is capable of.

On that note, I give my regards to you guys, and everyone else on here, despite our differences.

FYI, on some other automotive forums you would need 3 or 4+ times the number of posts you have here to get into the title race for a post whore award.

I agree that the quality posts do make this forum great.
This forum has provided invaluable information both before and after I purchased my 4Runner.

This is really easy to figure out... Just click on the member button and then look at the top 10 posters. The list will populate from the member with the most posts to the member with the least posts.

The originator of this thread asked who the people are that have more than 350 posts. I was just illustrating that a simple search under the "member" button can show the information he asked.

The top 10 people are just a start. If you keep looking through the results, you'll see every single member, from the most to least posts.

Why is that interesting? If I know something about someone's thread, I will post on it......It's just courteous rather than only mooching the information you need, and not give anything back.

Interesting interpretation of "courteous" and "giving back" if you feel that's what you were doing when you got this thread shut down. Mod let you off the hook, but it's obvious how that thread went bad.

My response was that I agreed, and that it would make the sides look bad if they got damaged. And also that
"You can't judge people by their decisions."

I hardly see that as picking a fight. But why argue about an argument in the past? Bringing it up seems like nothing more than an attempt to try setting me off?

However, it won't. That was out of the ordinary for me, and you probably will never see it happen again. That argument could have been handled better on both sides. I'd prefer if you didn't try to taint my reputation by basing criticism against me from one thread, out of the hundreds I take part in. I apologized to the mods for that, and moved on. Now when people snap at me, I simply do not reply. It's a much easier way to avoid petty feuds started when it may just be that the person is having a bad day, so why contribute to it by arguing back at them?

Although I fail to see a constructive motive behind your post against me, thanks for your input.

you can't whore in this forum, well because, no one will really respond and when that happens, it gets old after a while and people will usually just give up trying to whore a forum.

I am grateful for everyone that posts, like stated above, I have learned a lot from their posts. The top 10 do deserve their credit, there is a lot of great information from those guys, but you don't need 350 or so posts to be T4R.org.

I think I am part of T4R.org, even though I never knew it as this, I always knew it as Toyota-4Runner.org, but I feel that I am a part of this community, even though I might not have the knowledge as the rest of everyone out here.

Yeah man of course you are. Everyone starts somewhere, and the best way to learn, is to ask questions and to read about things on here. There is so much useful information, that you can learn new things about 4runners every time you come on here.

I know this sounds rude, it is not intended to be, but take a look at how many times you posted in this 3 page thread... nine times... I am not saying not to post altogether, but I think you could have taken some of your own advice, and gone without as many posts as you had. It may have gotten your point across (whatever it may be) more efficiently, and without upsetting anyone.

The founders, mods and members of this awesome site are T4R.org.

Post count doesn't matter. 100 posts earns you "Senior Member", one can even change that themselves if they liked. It's the quality of the posts, not the sake of posting to get the count up. The analogy would be is a 42" 1080p LCD better or a 52" or even 60" 720p LCD better?

There are some members here who aren't on the top 10 posters, but from their experience, knowledge and the quality of their posts, they could easily be the best contributors to the wealth of knowledge here. Page 2 and 3 of the top 10 posters (well, #11-30) are a lot of them. There are quite a few members I would name, but I won't because I know there many others that I would forget who have contributed excellent information.

You can find any topic that's being posted on this forum in previous threads by using the search feature. But then there wouldn't be any new threads, everyone would only rely on past postings, and most likely outdated information. How is this any different?

Searching, rather than post a new thread for the umteenth time on something that has been answered is preferred because it keeps information concise and all in one thread.

Here are questions that have been asked and the answer is readily available:
-I checked all four tires, my TPMS light is still on.
-I pulled the negative, my 'Auto' or one-touch feature doesn't work.

AFAIK, the answer on the above is still the same.

Yeah I see exactly where you are coming from. Beating something to death and having 20 threads on the same thing is over-kill. But having 2...3...or even 5 threads on something can be more useful than only having 1.

ie: If you search for 4runner parts on google, you don't only want 1 site, you want multiple. However, when it finds 200,000 results, it becomes pointless.
