Yeah, I'll be there. Rig goes in on Monday for the door replacement. Was thinking of just leaving it as is and spending the money on some new shoes (BFG KO2s in 34/10.5R17...). I'm lusting over these tires now. :eyebrows: I think they'll fit with a minimum of trimming and maybe a body mount chop... So why go for skinny 33's when I can go for skinny 34's?

An option to save time!
Hey, I didn't check where you live, but Cathy and I are heading back to N Scottsdale via Seven Springs Road to Pima. It will dump you out on the 101. Our reason for doing this is because we are staying in N Scottsdale Sunday night. It should save some time. I would love to do the whole thing, but we will save Bloody Basin for another time!
SO! If a little shorter is gonna get you out there, I just gave you a great option! You will still see the Sheep Bridge, which is one of the main highlights. These guys plan some great trips, so come on out!

so you are taking the trail until it starts to head north, is that correct? I am off 101 and tatum so that might be a better option

I appreciate the offer to help, but the door is beyond repair. I had the shop bang it into enough shape to close for the trip I recently took to San Fran, but it's definitely in need of replacement... so, off it goes. If this was a paid off vehicle with 150K on the ODO, I'd probably turn it into a dedicated offroader, but since it's my DD with many years of payments left on it, I'm gonna try and keep it pristine.
Now with that said, I will probably end up kissing a rock or something once the brand new door is installed, just like I did with my front bumper right after I got that replaced from the accident earlier this year... Haha!

We will take Table Mesa Road in, go to sheep bridge, and return via 7 Springs Road. The rest of the group is taking Bloody Basin Road to I-17. It will be shorter for you, by a pretty fair amount. Just an option.

I just had some body work redone on the back passenger side quarter panel/door on my car. The guy that did it used to have a shop, but works from home now and did a killer job. He was half what 2 body shops quoted me. If you'd like, I can shoot you his number for a 2nd opinion. Let me know.

Same gear ratio as what you have? Too bad you couldn't get that F/R set with 4:88's. That guy sold the rear axle but still has the front locker with 4:88.

the problem is id have to do a lot of modifications to the axle to make it fit. its super rusty and the drums are crap. the 01-02 axles are different because of the abs/ vtrac. modifying my axle is pretty simple, just some grinding and welding. also im not planning on beefing up the axle at all, im not thrashing this truck so there is no point. dirtco beefed up his rear axle, after having some sort of accident with his 36" tires.
