thank ya. i think it makes the truck look beefier and sturdier. now its time to start saving the pennies for the lift kit:)

good choice going with the FJ rims. I bot a set then changed my mind, sold them on FJ cruiser forum to another 4th gen owner with a set already on his rig. Slap some 275's on them and you cant go wrong

Nice!

I've been thinking of doing the exact same thing to my LTD at some point...though I have to say~ so far I'm really happy with the Geolanders!

Would you please give us some feedback on the/any changes in ride, handling MPG etc?

Thanks!
Dave

What did you need to do to get the fj's to fit... spacers, size of tires, sensors.

I swapped my sensors off my 20's into the FJ wheels cuz they didnt have sensors and that was it. the size of the tires and everything else matches what's on a sr5 or TE. speed has remained true, ride quality in my opinion got better. It feels firmer, and i'm not afraid of every pothole that comes my way now.

mpg has remained the same. in essence all i did was change from limited 20's to TE or SR5 size. the tires are 265/70/r17's, which is your stock size for anything but the LE. Mine didnt have the Geolanders, mine had the Bridgestones, and after having to replace one tire at 250.00 I was fed up with that idea...and that wasnt even for a good AT.

Looks good, congrats. Curious to hear back from you in a couple weeks how you feel about the difference in ride, if any, by making the switch from 20's to 17's.

I did this last July. I love the switch, much better, firmer ride, the truck feels more "solid", i'm not afraid of potholes anymore, etc. . . .

I've got 285's sitting in the garage waiting on me to return next month, so i'm sure those will be yet another new thing.

Window Vents

Say...Where'd ya get those window vents from? Been thinking about a set myself but didn't know how they'd look. Your pix have me sold. Great looking wheels BTW!
