Why Are Some Posts Being Moved

I don't agree that a thread on tire pressure monitoring should be moved to the performance zone. Does anyone else.
I like to see general car mechanical things such as routine problems, howto's etc left in the arena that gets the most traffic especially for newbies to see. Where was the thread on Sulphur smell moved to?

Would like to hear the reasoning behind that and welcome comments from others.
You could say that a thread on how many T4R owners have guns is off topic but if the idea behind that type of topic is what are T4R owners like then it is definitely not off-topic. It tells us and others about ourselves. A good conclusion might be "I better not try and steal a 4Runner!!

We just try to keep it organized for everybody. If there are new members that are looking for a specific thread they can use the "SEARCH" function of the site.

Everybody has an idea behind topics, but they use common sense when starting them in the appropriate category. Some people have the idea to stir the pot when they post threads, but you just never know........

So, with your recommendation, we should just have ONE big & long General section??

We usually move threads to the appropriate section...we tried to avoid moving active threads at the top of this section.

The sulfur thread was moved appropriately to the "Problems & Warranty" section. In fact, if you scroll down, then you will see that the thread title is still there...it will automatically take you to the appropriate section.

No need to make more of it than what I said. I don't require an explanation. If you think that threads on tire pressure monitoring and problems with the oem tires belong in the performance zone with superchargers and lifts, hey so be it.
When someone offers some constructive criticism just repond neutrally like momo 75.
When threads get moved out of the mainstream, many of them tend to be lost by the curbside. I haven't seen that many new threads per day on this forum. When numbers do get high, natural selection elbows things out of the way much more quickly than any of the ones that I mentioned which would still be lingering on if not for the moves.
And yes, to answer a question I like long general purpose threads. Things like performance, electronics, tires,wheels, detailing are pretty specific and thats where I go for that stuff.

BTW, I appreciate the job that the admins do for a site and know a little about the effort that it takes and beyond having been a system / electrical engineer since 1981. Anyone is free to reach me at [email protected] where I manage the helpdesk

It goes there because "Performance Zone - Tires, Wheels, Exhaust, Superchargers, and more!" is the title of that section.

Now, in the future, if there are too many posts on tires & rims, then i may have to create another subforum just for tires & rims.

When I first started this site, there were many members who wanted more subforums so it will be easier for them to look up things instead of scrolling through one big section. Unfortunately, it's hard to keep everyone happy, as you know from your experience...we try our best to accomodate different suggestions.
