Why black out the chrome?

I think a small amount of chrome on emblems is acceptable. I don't much care for it anywhere else. I opted to leave my front T and my rear T and 4Runner emblems chrome as I think it provides a nice contrast against the rest of the MGM colored truck. Beyond that I could care less about it and I especially dislike it when used in grilles. The front end of the current Limited I think looks horrible because of all of the chrome up front that serves no purpose.

I have a 4th Gen that is Silver....
so what little chrome is on it, doesn't really "pop" anyway.
I have already painted my grill and the license plate surround black...
but left the Toyota badges chrome.
Future plans include covering the silver on the bumpers...
and possibly above the wheels...with black truck bed coating.
I'm not a fan of the "blackout" look...I don't want ALL black.
But I would love to own a black 4R.
If I had one, I'd leave a little chrome just to break it up.
