Yep, you must've missed my previous post. I went through 3 transmissions although I think the 2nd and 3rd rebuild may have been due to choosing a poor shop because the 3rd rebuild has held up for a long time while the other two only got about a year.I thought you had to replace the tranny at least once on your truck?
Regardless of your biased that GM trucks suck the Gen3 LSx small blocks are among the most reliable engines ever made and deserve to be put on the same pedestal as the dodge 318 and Toyota 22r
... these trucks eat tie rods, idler arms and ball joints like its their job!
Btw, post more 4Runner pictures. I asked a moderator to change the name of the thread to an offroad 4th gen picture thread
3 transmissions..SMH lol the 4L60e is pretty ****ty in stock form. Let me guess you broke shift band servos?
Toss in a beast sun shell and 5 pinion planetaries with corvette servo or billet servo with upgraded 2-3 clutch and it's good for 500hp though
I'll never buy another Ford, my F250 broke my heart when the drive shaft buckled, twisted, broke - almost chopping the box right off and broke my ATV. I think a rock bounced up between the shaft and box, not really sure, but I did love that ATV.
Am I on the wrong forum? I thought this was a Toyota site.
post pics of your 4Runner off the beaten path then, thats what this thread should be turned into.
Trust me, I would but I'm currently at meetings in Vail. We already have some picture threads, why start another? Let's see some pics of your 4runner off the beaten path or do you just have pics of your plasti dipped emblems and tail lights?
