Wierd noise or limited slip

My 2011 SR5 has 21k. It has always made a weird noise if I spin the wheels (snow or mud). I probably should have asked the dealer, but I assumed its had something to do with limited slip or electronic stability control. Not sure how to describe the noise, but have other owner's noticed the same?

It's traction control applying the brakes rapidly to the spinning wheel(s).

Do you know what the faint electronic squish sound is when applying the brakes? Two Yeats to read the book is too much but better late than never.

The thing that kinda sounds like a pump? It's perfectly normal on pretty much everything when you apply the brakes, some are just a bit easier to hear than others. If you apply the brakes a bit lighter it won't make that sound anymore.

It could be air in the ABS pump though.

Thanks Yotta, intruder and all. That solves all my noise issues. Better look for another reason to get a 2014. Perhaps my 1996 hunting rig should be replaced. 242k and still running strong
