To fit that size tire, you will probably need to trim some plastic, and/or move some flaps. There's some threads on the subject utilizing the search function.

I had the 295's Trail Grapplers on mine and they fit. I run Icon CO's in the front, and have chopped my body mounts and trimmed the hell out of my fender liners
Did you run wheel spacers? I have the TRD forged wheels and I believe the back spacing is the same as the stock wheels. Just trying to figure out if the body mount chop is required.
I was not running spacers. And honestly I might have been able to get away with not doing the chop, but it was very close and I did the chop on my FJ so it was an easy mod for me to do. Sorry, I know that doesn't help much

I have 285/70R17 Duratracs mounted on the TRD wheels on my TE and I'm clearing the body mounts by maybe ~1/4" when turning wth the suspension compressed (and the mudflaps removed). I'm pretty sure that the backspacing of the TRDs isn't the same as the stock TE wheels BTW, but haven't been able to confirm this. Goodyear lists the overall diameter of this size Duratrac right at 33" and 11.5 for the width.
Nitto lists your tires at 33.19" overall dia and 12.13" overall width. It'll be close but you'll never know until you mount 'em up and take it for a test drive. My guess is that you'll need new UCAs to get the front end aligned anyway (search for "bilstein 5100" on here and you'll find that folks that use the 1.75 setting are just barely able to get the alignment to be in spec), and you can have them increase the caster when you have the alignment done to pull the wheel forward in the wheel well (also, search for posts by Harper7 to find more info on this one).
I'm planning for new UCAs when I pull the trigger on a lift for the same reason. I'm also strongly considering grinding down the end of the body mount anyway since there's no structural/mechanical reason it's there in the first place...
For reference, Nitto lists the 285/70R17 TG's at 32.76" dia and 11.5" width so they would be slightly smaller than the Duratracs in the 285 size as you mention. Your 295's will definitely be bigger than the 285 Duratracs though...

surprisingly there is no rubbing whatsoever. I moved the front fender liner foward a couple inches and thats about it. I'm heading out to the desert for new years and I will update if I get any rubbing then.

I took it out over New Years weekend to superstition. No rubbing at all, even with bilsteins lowerd to 1.75. Super impressed with my new T4R, Ran it straight up the face of Sand Dam with no problems. Here is a couple pics at the bottom of sand dam hill.
