This was a roll on burn out. I was driving at 30ish and then punched it. Once the 4runner downshifted to 1st, it broke traction, spun the passenger rear tire and continued into 2nd gear...
I am crying on the inside...
but seriously.
I have 1974 Triumph Spitfire with a Turbo Mitsubishi Starion motor in it and it is a drift queen. Drop it down a gear going into a turn and it will do the most perfect sideways drift.
My 4runner breaks traction going forward so drifting it would be no problem. I just don't want to end up on the roof.
May I asked why you decided on that TB injected Mitsu motor. Its cool and all but man, that injection system sucks. Buddy has a fully built, custom high compression, 20g turbo, ford multi port fuel injection pro conversion kit and its okay now, just costed arm and a leg. He is now starting a supra v6 TT motor and 6 speed swap in the conquest for more reliability.
I spent $500 for all of it. The Spitfire weighs 1700 pounds wet.
Did I mention that I have $500 in it.
Perhaps you should check out his build thread before you pass judgement....
The problem is it seems he trolled us.
He has a a 3rd gen with v8 swap and a spitfire he drifts with a starquest motor swap. He knows more about donuts in vehicles than the average Joe. Kind of strange question for him to ask us.
TROLLED!!!!!!!!!
But was still a fun thread.
I want to do it but i don't want to end up on the roof. I did a little one, doing a U-turn to get in to my shop and it felt scary. I would totally do it if it wasn't lifted 5". .
A couple of years ago, I was driving on I440 when I saw red Pathfinder cross threè lanes of traffic side ways. He didn't flip over until he hit the ditch. Makes you wonder?
