Will these shocks fit? *i swear I searched first*

I used the google search of the site and found nothing, maybe that should have given me the answer I was looking for. However I also think I may be the first to try this sooo

A friend of mine just upgraded to OME shocks on his 2013 land crusier. I'm wondering if his stock shocks could be used on my 1999 4wd. Especially the rears. I understand the valveing won't be correct blah blah but anything would be better than my stock limp pogo sticks

Well doesn't look too good for the rears at least. Just measured the LC shock body at ~24" and the on jack stand length of my t4r shocks are ~18"

As far as as I'm aware, only the 80 series Landcruiser shocks will work on our 4Runners. If you are looking for new shocks, look at Monroe, they offer great prices. I think you can order them at Oriely's.

If you are not planning on lift you can't beat the price. Also, there's no difference between left and right, they are identical.

So you can run these, if they fit in the mounting locations that is. You'll need to check both ends. May need to open up the top mounting hole a little.

Just curious if you know the collapsed length on these? I don't know if I would recommend running these on a stock height truck due to that because you will probably be bottoming out the shock if you hit a big bump. But on a lifted truck the extended length will work fine. They are shorter than the 4th gen 4runner extended travel SAW shocks run by a few members on here (see http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/133632-natemobs-dd-build-21.html#post1654373 and http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/120034-crazydubmans-97-limited-runner-build-18.html#post1281349). However you will need the works: extended brake lines, bumpstops, sway bar brackets, etc.

Yeah LC shocks are too long for stock 4runners.

But Monroe's are awesome good shocks for just 25 bucks apeice
