Of course I dont daily drive a 4runner, its strictly to feed our shark fishing addiction. Sits all week until the weekend. Truck for trailers and boat. I work from home luckily but drive a 2014 TDI 6speed manual straight piped @ 48mpg for daily running around.

I used to do property management in London. I've met cool Americans, and cool Russians. I would rather sit for a beer with your average American/Russian working man like myself, than any of our disgusting, vile, political class.
This situation is more nuanced and goes back further than 2022...
I see Gazprom have just declared force majeure on Germany's gas supply. So that solves that problem, apart from if you think any politicians will starve/freeze this winter.
So now will we see PUTIN MAN BAD painted as twice as evil, for turning off the gas that "causes climate change" and was supposed to be sanctioned anyway?!

Given that Russia has shown to be a paper tiger in terms of military prowess & technology, NATO and USA fearing Russia’s might is overstated. I am pretty sure ANY NATO country will destroy Russia’s army within a few days if not sooner.
Given Russia military gross incompetence due to decades of corruption, any nuclear launch will probably self-detonate before leaving the missile bay!

The Russian units involved are not engaging in pure fighting. More of a limited police action by reserve soldiers. Any NATO country? I beg to differ and I'm basing that on my 24 years of service. Most of Russia's nuclear deterrent is their mobile launchers which roam freely (they hide well), not missile bays.

So, the special forces, regular soldiers, and hired hands etc are reserves ? I disagree with that. Russia is running out of soldiers in fact. They have lost over 50,000 of their armed force personnel. How many generals have they lost??!! LOL
Javelin and drones are killing Russians left and right and they have no clue how to defend it.
As stated, corruption and lack of any training have exposed the gross incompetence of Russian army. Their Navy flagship was sunk by an ordinary land mobile unit missile!! And Navy is their strength!
NATO (and US) technology is so far ahead of Russia. The only reason Russia is still in the fight against Ukraine is due to having more soldiers to sacrifice and just brute force and the fact that Ukraine is not in NATO (thus no direct support other than supplies).

No. That's no supposed to be solar's strong point. The lack of emissions/pollution/whateveryouwanttocallit is. (of course, that doesn't solve what to do with them when their 20 yr or so lifespan is over)

We need to push for Green Energy b/c that's the only way we can innovate to improve it. Should we abandon all other sources of energy while we make that push? No. Should we abandon coal as much as possible (globally)? Yes.
Should we be investing in Nuclear? Yes.
Being extreme about it in either direction is a bad plan. That pretty much goes for anything in this life/world.

I am all for green tech…as a SUPPLEMENT to the main sources of energy. BUT, it is too early and still poorly understood. Green folks want it to replace gas and oil NOW, which is idiotic…as can be seen in Europe spiraling economic destruction.
