Yes, that's a lot, it's a bit of wiring and 4 bolts so quite easy if you have a friend to lend a hand while pushing the bolts through. IIRC you have a SW bumper, if so be aware that not all winches and fairleads line up properly so there may be some modification needed as there was on mine. If you don't want to take an angle grinder to yours then maybe $150 isn't out of the question.

I don't know much about car mechanics so none of that made much sense to me. What is a fairlead and how do I find out if it lines up with the winch? I have seriously purchased $8500 in parts from these guys you would think they would throw me a fricken bone on some installations. Drives me nuts, I understand its a business but you would think people would be somewhat interested in helping you out.
The fairlead is the piece on the outside of the bumper that guides the cable. If you're using steel cable you need a "roller fairlead" if you're using synthetic you need a "hawse fairlead"
and it needs to line up with the matching slot in the bumper. Mine didn't and had a lip remaining in the opening which would have damaged my synthetic cable.

As noted in prior post; there is no need to be uncertain about how your winch will install in your Shrockworks bumper... just call them and tell them what you are doing and ask if there are any known issues.
If your winch comes with a roller fair lead (and wire rope presumably), you can use the pristine roller fair lead with your synthetic line. That said, you would not want to use a roller fair lead for a synthetic line if it had ever been used with wire rope previously or if roller surfaces become damaged or rusty.

Bumping an old thread. But my main question is what did you end up doing for suspension and more importantly which winch did you end up going with and how did it fit in your shrockworks bumper? Ordered my bumper and am now researching a winch for it?

Fab a spot for the battery? I am confused on how the winch interfered with your battery location?

Well the battery attaches the the back of the winch and in the shrockworks bumper theres not enough room for it to fit, so we had to build a sport in the engine compartment for the battery to sit and then run a long cord to the winch. I don't really know much about it, just what my shop did.
