Window switch question

I have a question regarding my power window switches. I have a 99 and the switch for the driver window is illuminated but the switch for the passenger side window is not illuminated. The window switch on the passenger door is not illuminated either. Are all three switches supposed to light up? If so is there a bulb under the switch or would I need to change out the switches itself? I searched the forum but couldn't find an answer. Any input would be appreciated. :thanks:

Sorry for using the word switch so many times

The switches on the door armrests are not lit. The switches on the emergency brake arm rest are lit, as well at the switches on the center console.

My 2002 has the same issue I believe. The driver's switch is illuminated but the passenger window control on the driver's master switch is not. I thought a bulb burned out, but haven't pulled it to check. The reality is the bulb and effort to carefully open up the switch really isn't worth the expense to illuminate a switch that you can operate by feel anyway.

If you're curious though, just pull the switch and look. It should pop right out with some gentle pressure.

I agree, it is to much of a hassle. It doesn't really bother me but I figured i'd ask here and see if any one knew the answer. Thanks for the responses
