Awesome photos man! I envy your road trip! I made a 24 hour straight drive from Alabama to Colorado years ago with a buddy of mine. A radar detector, CB Radio, cooler full of food and an air mattress in the back (Took turns with one man driving and the other sleeping) Doing it again this year?

I dropped the bike off in colorado and switched out the cargo basket for a Yakima box. The 4Runner really didn't like hauling the bike rack and the heavy motorcycle haha.

Long day of driving

These first pictures are from southern Washington. Not many from Oregon as it was extremely icy and foggy and I was concentrating on keeping the 4Runner on the road. Nice scenery around Yakima and north along I-82

Beautiful country

Really good scenery later today driving Snoqualmie Pass into Seattle. Perfect conditions and great views. It's been a long time since I drove in a big city. Seattle was worse than when I lived in DC but the big difference was nobody used their horns.

I'm on a boat

Sorry for the pause in updates. I stopped and spent some time in Seattle with family.

The Runner and I boarded the Alaska Marine Highway ferry this evening bound for southern Alaska. It's still about 800 miles from where the ferryblets off to Anchorage. More driving pics will be posted then. For now, here's a few of the ship.

I hope you are driving back down. You are going to miss some seriously beautiful country if not. Consider taking the Stewart Cassiar Hwy through BC. A nicer and quieter alternative to the southern portion of the Alcan.

Will do. I'm on the winter schedule so i wanted to minimize my time on icy roads but hopefully I can come back down in the summer. Thanks for the recommendation
