Windshield vibration noise?

I just had my windshield replaced with Pilkington glass, and notice now that the windshield almost sounds like its rattling around or vibrating against rubber on rough roads.

Aside from having the company come back out to reseal it, what other questions should I ask to make sure they are installing properly?

Thanks

Maybe something got loosened up while they replaced and now you're seeing this problem? Read the description and see if it matches what you're experiencing. If so print this out and bring to Toyota dealership and they'll take care of you if your truck is still under warranty.

Is the rubber seal supposed to be replaced with a new windshield? I believe all that was used on my replacement was sealant?

Look at / squeez - jiggle the plastic cover over the rear view mirror wires.

Mine made a lot of noise for a long time before i figured it out.

Forgive the thread jack, but do any of you guys with a '13 SR5 have wind noise up front? Almost sounds like the windshield might have wind noise. Isn't constant, but most of the time on the highway at 60+ MPH you can hear it. First 4Runner so not sure on this, but even my wife has noticed it. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re : windshield glass

I had my windshield replaced a couple of months ago because of a crack. Prior to the replacement I was starting to get "noise" from the upper part of the windshield. When the guy replaced my windshield I noticed these small white clips on the ground. I asked him if they should be going back onto the new windshield or head liner. He said NO. So I thought to myself, ok, this idiot is a complete tool. I'm gonna have to call these donkeys back for a creaking sound or something down the road. But, no! No noise, no rattle or creak....

Seems ur better off without those clips
