Wire power for backup camera

Where did you guys hook up for power for your aftermarket backup camera/head units?

I ran a wire to the passenger floor for the reverse wire from the head unit. Is there somewhere I can tap in at the front of the car or do I need to run that wire to the rear brake light?

And then what has constant power in the rear? I want to be able to turn the camera on whenever and not just reverse.

TIA!

Don't wire you cam to a constant power source, it will repeatedly kill your battery and cause you a lot of angst. Ask me how I know. I would just use a switched ignition source. Fuse box or cig lighter or something, cam probably draws .1 amps, would not hesitate to tap OEM circuits.
