Wiring adapter

So I picked up Alpine CDM 9803 head unit & a Scosche 1981-up Toyota wiring connector and spent the better part of an hour soldering and shrink wrap tubing all the connections. Went out to the truck (98 4runner w. cd/cass double din factory head unit) to plug it into the factory harness & it doesn't match.
Every wiring adapter I found online is the same way. I only have 1 wiring plug going into the back of the head unit and every adapter I've seen has a second plug for the rear speakers.
I don't want to cut the factory harness because it will be too difficult to solder the connections & I would pretty much be forced to using crimp on connections.

Is there another wiring adapter out there that works?
Thanks in advance.

Got it figured out. I didn't see the factory amp tucked in the dash.
Radio is hooked up & working fine. I also put in a pair of 6.5" Infinity woofers in the front doors and added a bass blocker filter to the factory tweeters.
I have a pair of Polk 5.25" for the back doors, I'm just waiting on the adapter plates I ordered to show up so I can drop them in.
Eventually I'll get an I-pod adapter for the radio, but first I need an I-pod. I think I'm about the last person in the U.S. who has never owned one.
