Wiring Harness for Mounting New Head Unit

Hi I'm a new member but to cut the chase I need to know what wiring harness I need to upgrade my stock DDIN head unit in my 96 Toyota 4Runner SR5. I've been to best buy and Walmart and everything they have given me Toyota 4Runner related has been useless. I'm hoping this part is easy to acquire, I've attached a picture of what I'm dealing with. Thanks!

Go to Crutchfield, they will have the exact harness you are looking for

Feel underneath the box that wire is connected to or remove the two screws and pull it out. That harness connects the amp to the reciever and you likely do not need it. Once you pull out the amp You'll find two plugs, one for power and front speakers, another for rear speakers. The adapter you got from walmart will likely fit those.

DHCO is correct! Remove the amp. Any new stereo will not need it. You will have two plugs. One is smaller and is for the speaker wires. The large one is everything else. You can order the stereo harness off eBay. The most common brand is Metra. Walmart carries them too but is often out of stock. Make sure you ground your black wires to the metal of the dash surround.
