Wiring Questions

So I have some wiring questions, because well I am not electrically inclined. I just don't see wiring like some people can. I posted it in my build thread, but I don't always get any answers in there.

The Shrockworks bumper turn signal lights have 3 wires, our turn signals only have 2 wires. What have some of you done to address this? Is there a male pigtail plug you can get to attach it to, are there any other options? I would rather not cut the end off and start flipping plugs around etc.

Secondly, I have Baja Designs Squadron Pro lights I am planning on wiring it straight up to the fogs. That way I can just turn them off and on at the stalk. What is the connector that is needed at the fogs? I just want to make sure I have the right plug, I think it is a 9006. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Not really, it's down by where the turn signal wiring runs. It's much closer to the middle of the truck.

Wish I could help. But my 97 has 2 wires coming at the stock blinkers. And I got new LED turn signals that have 9 leds in them. So it was easier to wire.

I was pretty close to that, but [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] walked me through getting some power to it. Apparently the red and green are power, the white is ground. However, I did a quick temp hook up and it hyper blinks. But like Antman said, it looks like it could be set up for parking lights and blinkers. So I wonder if constant power plus the blinker would stop the hyper blink.

Thoughts?

No can do, that was phone pressed on the bumper. That's as far back as I can get. It's tied up below the inside of the driver side headlight.

You can use a relay or load resistor to fix the hyper flash. Personally I like the load resistor. Very easy to wire. I have it and it's cheap

Since you have an SR5, you have the non-digital A/C system, right? If you had the digital system that is on the Limiteds that plug (#A26) would connect to the A/C Ambient Air Temp Sensor. To confirm, the two wires in the loom should be Gray and Black-Blue.

That would make sense. Oddly enough I have the ambient temp sensor for my mirror down there. Good to know. Thanks.

I have the same bumper and lights. I'll look for my pics. I'm sure I reserved a thread space in my build for this a couple years ago. It will be later on tonight or tomorrow AM.

Brake light wiring

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but does anyone know which wire is which?

White w/black stripe-ground
Solid green-tail light
Green w/white stripe- when brakes are applied

Edit- I have confirmed that this is the proper power for the wires mentioned.

Crawled underneath and took a peak. I isolated the white wire by itself and went with a two-wire configuration. I used a trailer plug from O-Reilleys. That way I can disconnect them as needed without cutting and splicing again. If you decide to install a winch some day the bumper needs to come out or completely off.

Turn signals work fine. The hyper flash you're getting is due to your OEM flasher in the JB next to the drivers side. You need to replace the flasher with one that handles LED's. I did a write up on it in my build a while ago.

I appreciate the help. I got it all figured out today, I ran the three wire setup. I ran the white up to the hot wire on the corner light, and then used the wires up a bit from the turn signal plug. Used jumpers, or piggy backs on the wires. Depends on what you call them. I zip tied the excess wire up, that way I could keep the extra wire.
