Wiring Up Nav & Backup Camera, Where To Tap Into Reverse Indicator?

just received my new kendwood Dnx9960 last night and so i had to install it right away. the only thing i havent done yet is route the purple wire to a reverse lamp - so when the truck is shifted in reverse it will trigger the nav unit to show the backup camera, i know i can just wire it all the way to the reverse lamp but is there a easier way and alot closer to the front of the truck or fuse box?
