Wits End Fire Extinguisher Bracket // Pre-Order

I will be ordering one, This is by far the best option I have seen for mounting a fire extinguisher. Very quick access. Plus I don't have access to snow where i live.

I can attest to the quality. I have FEM1 from his LC version. It's great and the LC has less room than the 4Runner. I'd order, but I might not be driving the 4Runner as often off-road soon...hehehe.

I know a lot of you guys are out west... Be careful with a max temp of 120 degrees.

ABC Multi-Purpose Stored Pressure Dry Chemical Extinguishers - Amerex FireAmerex Fire

This is actually what I came in here to post.

I have no shit verified the interior temp of my car on a sunny August day as 138*, and metal in direct sunlight (seat belt buckle) was on the wrong side of 160*!

Now this was in a Silver Mercedes sedan, maybe temps are lower in a white T4R but I can't imagine them being low enough all the time in order to stay in a safe temp zone for an extinguisher in South FL.

Thanks again for getting this project out to us. I have put in a pre-order on the website. Now on to finding an extinguisher to put in there.

No problem, I'm excited as I get the first two production ones. So seeing it go from sketch, to cardboard mockup, to finished product is neat.

As for fire extinguishers:

I carry this under my drivers seat: H3R Performance - H3R Performance 2.5 lb. MaxOut Black Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher - MX250B | 4WheelParts.com

And this on the passengers seat: H3R Performance - H3R Performance 2.5 lb. HalGuard Red Clean Agent Fire Extinguisher - HG250R | 4WheelParts.com

I'm think about getting one and mounting a large D cell Mag-Lite to it. Every car I've owned since '91 had had one except for the 4R. Just can't seem to find a good spot.

Sure. It can be used for whatever you want.

I put my D-cell Mag-lite in the sunglasses holder in the overhead console because it's 2017 and Surefire flashlights are brighter and smaller.

I totally get the sarcasm and understand what your saying. I have a Coast LED in the console. It's bright. It's small. It's rechargeable. If I get attacked, I might be able to poke a dudes eye out with it...maybe. A big D cell Mag-lite is a game changer. I'm in Los Angeles where getting a ccw is impossible. and even if I had one, my handgun would have to be locked away while in the car.

And...back on subject. We're doing one final test fitting this week but are still on track for a release of mid-feb.

I just saw your location tag and it all made more sense. And a flashlight is easier to explain than a "tire checker".

Good luck behind enemy lines. You'll always be welcome back to the Union.

Placed my order today, thanks again LawnDart for making this possible.

Thanks, the whole point of this was to design a bracket for my use. The fact that you guys liked the design and wanted it put into production has been both awesome, and also a headache.

I don't make a dime off these, that wasn't the point, it was solving a problem about mounting a piece of gear that I hope NEVER has to be used, but if it does, it'll pay for my time and itself in that trade off.
