Yes, as one other individual stated the baking process and how the rack was hung in the booth could have possibly "warped" the shape of the rack. Also the tight fit I was saying was in regards to how much linex they used. The thickness as well of the total material would cause a little more issue for you as I was saying. But again I guess you can be upset, that you decided to do it on your own, because you were frustrated you didn't want to confirm with the builder, physically mutilate and alter the rack, and then get on here without any follow up with him and state that the rack is not proper, and refute with everyone that you are strong enough and wise enough to install it on your own and know exactly how to do it. Even though you admit you were in a rush as you were losing daylight and don't want to admit that it is actually quite a process to properly install one of these with another and does take some patience :cheers:I almost laughed when you brought up line-x. They are a top notch shop and it's not their job to do that. I bring it to them to line-x it and that's it. None of this problem has anything to do with them. I don't have specs but if you knew how thin line-x was you'd see that isn't the problem. Think about it like this and you'll understand better. I took it to get line-x'ed and then installed it, the front two feet fit and the rears didn't come close. Do you think if line-x were the problem that it would only affect 2 of the 4 feet? I highly highly doubt it.
And I'll go ahead and say this but I'm not trying to questions Josh's character or do anything bad. I'm just leaving my review and unfortunately its negative because of the product. Over all it's a positive experience because it ended up working out and it's great.
Great attitude. You should go far.
I don't know of many adults that go walking on other peoples packages
Today was not the best day to sub this thread.. Pretty awkward but I do want to be put on the waiting list please!
You will be very pleased with the rack. I would suggest getting help when mounting. I don't care how strong you think you might be but you will end up scratching your roof and being pissed off at the world if you try it by yourself
Sent him an email. I just live down on the Coast. 30 minute drive to their shop. Was going to ask if they would help with the install when I go to pick it up. I'm surprised being this close to them that I haven't seen or heard of there their work. But then again I've only had my 06 runner for 6 months.
You put a towel on the back of your car lean the racks front two feet on the towel. Slide it forward to where the back feet line up. Voila. That's what I meant by if you use your head. It's just leverage you don't have do be a smart ass you could've just asked how it's possible for me to put it on. Lifting a rack isn't what pissed me off yet again. It's morons like you
lol ban hammer was actually a good one. I can't help that he doesn't seem to grasp Josh could've made a mistake. I'd put money on them being good friends outside the forum so that's why he's trying to play the guardian angel role. Oh well he can stay behind his computer and protect whoever he wants. Maybe we'll get to run into each other in birmingham one day but he probably wouldn't say anything anyways unless he was behind his computer :thumb3: this is probably farewell so I hope everyone has a good summer!
