How far is that from Destin? I might try to organize a rack pickup my next trip down or see if a family member will bring it back.

Played with my new to me plasma cutter some and cut the plates for the ends of the top of the bumper. Also painted some led signals I got from walmart for 8 bucks each, they'll go behind the mesh sections.

Last update before paint, i have everything welded in that i planned on welding in. got the outside, top plates in and welded in flat plate in the center. i'll simply cut a hole for a fairlead when i do finally get a winch. i think this is a pretty good example of what i think of when i hear "hybrid" bumper. its been a ton of work but im really happy with how it looks.

very true, but it sucks being stuck with a ton of leftover material.

if you plan to put a winch on the bumper what would you use the hitch receiver there for? fishing rod holder? just wondering

anything at all, tons of stuff you can stick in a receiver. its going to be very useful for moving my kayak trailer around the yard, for one thing.

DONE!! and i feel like a proud papa lol! i hit it with some roll-on bedliner then "ghosted" (not trying to sound like a custom painter) my logo onto the front. only other thing i had to do was replace the turn signal relay for the new LED signals behind the mesh and i went ahead and gave the "ugly" a quick coat of black spray paint. Bolted on with shiny new hardware (12 points of attachment!) then cleaned up the giant mess it all left in my garage!

That is one sick setup! Especially when you look at the rack and then back at the bumper, then back, it all ties together REALLY well!

I would buy this bumper in a heartbeat! REALLY NICE! wow, good work Whitson!

Great work, Whitson! That's some fine metalworking, sir. I really like the hybrid design, and the lines of the headlight hoops are pretty striking. They really compliment the front end.

It's cool to see someone go nuts w/the creativity. Just when you think it's all been done, someone builds something totally new. :thumb3:
