I really dig your work. I will honestly say I like the 1st design a little bit better with the headlight/grill guards.

Your hybrid fusion really stands out. I personally think it needs just a tad bit more "plate" influence.

Thank you for the feedback! The hoops are still an option, I just know my wife wouldn't want them on her truck. Not sure how to mix more plate into it though at this point, but I get what you're saying.
 
Lookin good! I must say tho, the first design looks better to me. First thing I notice is the front metal place isn't recessed back on this second iteration. The first one the tubes stuck out farther than the plate, kept things from looking to chunky

Edit: I am thinking the opposite of the guy above who wanted more plate style... I really like the first one because it was a tube bumper with some plating, not the other way around. Still looking forward to final product! Good work matey!

Hahah that's not exactly what I meant. I guess I'm saying the hybrid style is awesome. Assuming hybrid can mean anything that isn't either 100% plate style, or 100% tube style, a "hybrid" could be 50/50. Or 70/30. What have you. So I'm just saying maybe the first design was more like 60% tube like style, and 40% plate like style, where as the second iteration looks to me to be more like 40% tube, and 60% plate. I happen to like the first iteration better that seems to have a sightly more tube like style while definitely still being a hybrid. Does that make sense haha.
 
Yeah I see what you mean and understand that subtle changes will sway the balance one way or the other. I could always change the plate to suit. The tube structure is what it is though, I have a jig for that part, anything that goes in or on it is changeable.
 
Wow makes me miss my 3rd Gen so much after looking at all the great work on this bumper Josh. I cant wait till your working on the 4th Gens bumper. Man let me know if you need help I'm just 15 minutes out here in Pensacola and you can have my 4Runner for how ever long you would need it too. I'm dying here to see what the 4th Gen will look like. Also are you going to be looking at maybe doing a rear bumper/tire carrier for the 4th Gen???? :frisky:

Thanks man. If you want to get together some time and go for some custom bumpers just let me know. I don't think there will be any production bumpers from me though. Theres an ever dwindling market for hand built stuff and the trends are CNC cut and bent, ultra modern, transformer looking stuff. I just can't hang. I've already put way too much into trying to make this bumper producible. I'm trying to build steam for a rear bumper now.

Sounds like you need a CNC machine then! Who doesn't like an excuse for more tools/toys!?
 
So I do have to say after looking at this more and more I like the front bumper without the hoops. Do you plan on doing to many of those? I would love to get one from you within the next 4 months before next off-roading season.
 
So... How's the production of the rear bumper coming along??? I absolutely love the tube work and can't wait for you to start selling these bumpers!
