hey, sorry i haven't been checking this thread in a while. I just tried the phone number I listed on page 1 of this post and it still works, although Sammy wasn't in at the moment. Telscopic Steering Wheel?

Old question Im sure.

I bought an 04 Limited. Love it. Wish the steering wheel could come out more as I enjoy the seat back.

Hear the newer models might have the telescopic

Question: Can I get one installed? How much will it set me back? Regards.

All 03+ Limiteds have a telescoping steering wheel. Underneath the steering column on the left side (below the tilt control) is a lever to adjust the telescoping function. Just push the lever down, it takes a little force, then move the wheel in/out. When you've found the right position, just push the lever back up to lock it in place.

Very, very old thread, but I was able to get a hold of Sammy Wu of Mikado regarding the wood grain steering wheel for the 4Runners. He said that they only offer it for 4th gens (03-09) and that he has two color options. I'll be getting it installed tomorrow, will post pictures once I get it in!

In the mean time, here's two stock photos of the color options he provides, still torn as to which color I want...

I have the "wood" wheel for nearly 7 years now. It holds amazingly well. Great quality. Resist scratches well.
I got the "brown" option.

So, I went down to Gilroy to get this installed over the weekend. It was quick and painless and only took 15 minutes. All stock buttons worked fine after install. I'm very happy with the steering wheel. It's really nice and feels much beefier than the stock one. He also mentioned that he only has these wheels for 4th gen 4Runners 03-09, he also has them for other Toyotas but I didn't really bother to ask which ones as all I was interested in was the 4Runner one.

Looks good! I'm looking into going for this, but with a "gray wood" finish. I can't find the link right now, but that "gray wood" is the closest I can find to matching the rest of the interior. Anyway, did you install it yourself? I had one (real wood color) when I had my white Surf, I love it.

Wow, JUST found it:

B&I® Steering Wheel - Dark Grey Leather - 2005 Toyota 4Runner Steering Wheel - B&I BI-AW1012

Click on "materials" and look for "Armor Birdseye". Its as close as I could find. Price of $275 seems VERY REASONABLE.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread but I thought it would be better than starting a new thread for no reason.

Would I be able to replace my 06 limited steering wheel with a 2007 OEM Camry Grey wood steering wheel? I have full radio and phone controls on my current steering wheel and will be moving it over to the new one.

I figured this should be possible but I was looking at the Camry steering wheel and I wasn't sure if the bolt holes match up.

I would love to do this and have the "Lexus" type feeling steering wheel. Thanks guys!
