Working on finalizing a deal on a TEp

Looking really hard at 2014 Trail Premium with KDSS and floor mats. MSRP 40,730. They are asking 37,900 +TL. I'm trying to get them to go lower but is this a pretty good deal? Its gray...i prefer red but can live with the gray.

Lastly, the low rates financing incentives are set to expire on Monday. Does anybody know if they will likely extend them or is this a pretty rare incentive?

See if you can purchase it w/o the floormats. Good luck on that. I tried and failed. They WANT you to have the floormats; otherwise they would be overrun with floormats buyers opted out on.

A few dealers said it's the first time they've ever seen financing deals on the 4Runner. Toyota has no incentive to give deals on 4Runners and Tacomas; they're gonna sell regardless and they know it.

I too tried to remove some pre-installed crap but they wouldn't budge. Said that once it's on the sticker it can't be removed. Can't believe I paid $225 for some stupid floor mats.

I made them take the floormats off my option list, because I didn't want to pay $200 for the crappy stock mats and was planning on getting Huskeys anyways. They took them off the invoice, but forgot to remove them from the vehicle, so I had some nice free temp mats to use until my Huskeys arrived

Same here, $185 for cargo cross bars when a Gobi or some other rack is going to replace everything up there & my personal favorite- $325 4 season floor mat package. They had better be the floor mats of the gods... Why do I get the feeling they aren't?

Call another dealer and ask for the name of their fleet manager. Then call back and ask for him by name (Sometimes sales people will pose as fleet managers) Ask for a quote on specs for the TE you are looking at. The Fleet Manager will email you a quote that is barley over dealer invoice. Take that quote to the dealer you want to buy that TE from, and make them match the price. If they don't have the Fleet Manager get one for you.


Fleet managers don't care how much over invoice they sell a car for. All they care about number of sales. Their initial offer will the lowest price they can sell it for, they don't haggle with you like normal sales people.
