Hi All, been lurking here for a while hunting for my first 4Runner.
So this morning I bought a 2001 SR5 4x4, test drove great, very little surface rust and a few cosmetic scratches for a 13 year old vehicle. New brakes and rotors, new tires.
I started digging through the previous owners pile of service papers and found one for a radiator replacement and transmission fluid replacement and a tow. This was only 4 months and 8k miles ago.
So my assumption is I bought a milkshaked truck.
the one thing I was trying to avoid. The question is would it have survived those extra 8k if the transmission was damaged or am I screwed? I even pre-bought a B&M cooler to avoid this situation.
I was so happy about this truck until I saw this.
