Would 285/65 R18s fit on my stock 4runner?

For reference I'm currently on the 265/75/16s in this picture
Thinking about buying these wheels and tires.

The outter diameter would make it 32.8'... too tall for stock?

that size comes out to be 32.6"

I'm running 285-70-17 = 32.7" and I had a lot of rubbing with a 2.5" lift. I even had minor rubbing with 4" of lift.

I'm gunna say no to fitting them stock, but you could probly do it with 1-1.5" of body lift and some trimming.

Do you have pictures of the areas you were rubbing??

They rub on the inside of the fender when the wheel is turned. You might have less rubbing since you dont have Limited fenders.

this one is with 265-70-17. keep in mind the wheel wasnt turned at all for this picture: (notice I tried to put 285-70-17's on and they rubbed part of the fender clean off)

Sorry I don't mean to change the topic but where did you get the wheels that you presently have on your truck?

I put 265/75/16's on when my 2000 sport was stock. It rubbed really really badly, I ground a ton of my plastic off, and soon after got the lift.

With my OME suspension lift, I still won't put 285's on until I lift the body too.

I have 285/70/17's on my truck with only a 2.5" coil spacer kit...it rubs a little on normal driving, but off road, it rubs baaaadddddd....doing an OME+BL soon

Sorry I don't mean to change the topic but where did you get the wheels that you presently have on your truck?

I bought them off of a guy's FJ40 a few months ago. I rarely see 6lug wheels that have a nice dish to the spokes and I really liked them at the time. It's really an ideal offset aswell because it doesn't rub on anything with the tires on it at the stock height.
