WOW ...... slippery night

Falls

We had a few small snow squalls tonight , left the roads covered with black ice. Cars and trucks in ditches all over , crashes everywhere , people driving like idiots in abundance !!!! I drive most of my 10 mile trek at 15 mph and with half the truck on the gravel shoulder , thats how bad it was.

I have a 10mile drive to get to the city limits. I live out in the country . Terribly slick , even when I hit the burbs.

Well I got out of work from the Mental Heath complex and wouldn't ya know it , salt everywhere on the roads ...... damn I hate that !!!!

Home safe now with the 4R still in tact .:D

Just had to vent

Last night it was 57 and blowing 10-12!:awais: I had to roll the window up! It was awful, just had to vent...

:lmao: Glad you made it home ok. It's amazing how stupid people can be when the weather gets bad. I totally feel for you on having your rig bathed in salt, that's awful but I guess it's part of the game...

Seems like the first couple storms of the year people forget to slow down, then slowly they remember that snow and ice are slippery. We've had some cold weather here in MA but no precipitation to go with it yet so we've been spared a salt bath so far. Its supposed to snow tonight so I'm sure I'll wake up to salty roads, I love everything about winter, in fact come spring I get depressed that winter is over, but I hate all the salt they insist on using around here, it really is not needed and can't be very good for the environment.

Yes , the salt really sucks , but thats what they use.

57 degrees and you rolled up your window. Heck in mid winter if we get a sunny 40+ degree day , sunroofs and windows are open , you may even see a conv. top down.....lol.

this last weekend we had our first snow fall (finally) and the freeway was jammed up with idiots crashing all over the place. so i just stayed home and played.

today mid 70's. got to love CO weather
