Wrecked my 4Runner

so you found the air bags,windshield,front bumper,grill,headlamps,fenders and a radiator support for $600 bucks?
can you tell me where? im interested to see if i can find a complete running T4R FOR 2GRAND? JK
I think i am w/runrunner on this one though. after the aprons are pulled( i hope your not going to weld on a used front clip w/aprons) and the radiator support(another not so small job)is replaced u are going to be into it for well what the truck is worth and it seems like you are coming out of pocket on this?
 
not to under estimate your ability did you do any sheet metal pulls before cuting out the support? a good pre-pull could have gotten some of the apron straight, and a tram gauge will tell u how close you are w/underhood dimensions u would know how close u are? dont think u would need that inner well/apron after a good pull and some hammer time.

I think its going to be way easier to replace then it would be to go through all that. Sometimes its not all about what its going to be worth in the end, I knew my truck wouldnt be worth anything after I got it back together but the weekend of work and $375 was really worth it for me in the end. And now I have no problem going off road and beating the pants off my truck which is a major plus for me :D

I thought about that but it's got a good wrinkle down under where the airbox is and also about half way back. To me it will be easier to just replace the wheelwell with a good one. I found a few at a local junkyard that are NOT crashed. They were cash for clunker trucks. Getting the wheelwells and rad. support for $150.00. They acually have everything I need except the headlights. I am going there in the am to look them over and decide what I do and don't want or need and go from there.
As far as putting the money into this I kind of have to. I just in no way can go get anotherone right now. I just bought this one for $3750. in October.
 
Well I got a bunch of parts this week. Got to get some work done on it this weekend.
The wheelwell is not as bad to replace as I thought it was going to be. The hard part will be welding in the wheelwell area as it is all insulated inside on the firewall. I don't really want to remover the heaterbox etc. so I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do there. Everything is lining up good. I was able to save both front fenders. The right one was the worst but it was only at the mounting area at the front end and I got that straightened out.
The right wheelwell didn't have the mount for the abs so I had to do that.
Like I said it's going better then I thought. All I still need is a bumper, the 2 fillers under the headlights and the right turn signal assy. and the windshield which will be done as soon as I call them to do it.
So far in parts $489.00. A couple of parts ended up being more as I got them delivered as it was kind of hard to get the big parts into a Corolla. LOL

Made some progress Tuesday night and tonight.
Got the wheelwell and rad. support all on. Did a test fit with the fenders and hood and all lined up good so welded it up Tuesday night.
Tonight I got the headlights and corner lights on. The fan and got the rad. set in ready to hook up. All the wires are back where they belong and everthing except the airbox is mounted on the right wheelwell.
Back at it Saturday.

I haven't had alot of free time lately but I did get the 96 Taco front bumper on. I'm not really sure I like it. It was real easy to put on. Just had to drill 2 new holes in the 4runner bumper brackets and put it on.
The end's don't come back to line up with the fender like the 4runner bumper and it set's back in the middle area more, almost even with the grille as you can see in the pics.

Looks pretty good! I was contemplating this mod, with a slightly different taco bumper, but the deal fell through. I ended up just replacing with an aftermarket stock replacement......Good job fixing her back up man!
