Hope the lady isn't as crazy as the lady I was in an accident was. She is now suing me for $700,000 ... (obviously she is just aiming high) and I tapped into her going at about 5 mph. This is after she lost control of her vehicle and slammed into the center divide. I couldn't dodge her, yet she is suing me... LOL ... (Insurance companies placed fault on her, so she is trying to get money though a lawsuit)

I don't know about the Shrockwork, but just make sure the bumper does have some sort of crumple zone. 100% rigid bumper is no good either, it will transfer more force to you and your cargo. I was impressed that the ARB bumper brackets look like they would fold in a high impact accident, and allow for at least some shock absorption.

The best part about this is that you're referencing a bumper which isn't designed for our vehicles, just happens to fit.
So... it throws all that ARB crap out the window. Say what you will, if you get into serious **** with an ARB they won't help you any more than Shrockworks (in this case).

I just knew the ARB had the crush zone, I wasn't saying it was better than the Shrockworks, I haven't seen the Shrockworks first hand to know how their mounting is done. The crush zone isn't about protecting anything, its about adsorbing some of the impact. If you have a rigid mount and hit something hard it is going to hurt or kill you much quicker than if you have something that crumples and absorbs impact.

Sorry about the news. How long have you been in the OK? The drivers there like to stop in all the wrong places. Have you ever driven north of Tulsa on I-75? There are no on/off ramps for freeway access, just intersections. People get T'd-up and rear-ended all the time there at 65+ mph. On a side note, I wonder how much damage did or didnt happen as a result of your grill guard. Typically I hear of those referred to as "damage multipliers."

I have a hard time understanding how it will hurt or kill you quicker... Agreed, the forces will not be absorbed by the crumple zone which has been removed but if the forces are that large, well you're in trouble anyways.
Yea... well, I've had first hand experience of destroying a vehicle equipped with an aftermarket bumper. Front first into a rock wall @ 80kph.

Yea I wonder the same my 4runner hit a brick wall from a roll down hill. The air bags never deployed. Im sorrt to hear about your lose thoe i hope every thing works out for you and you can get it fixed or just have enofe cash to buy a new one. I had a wreck about 4 years ago with my 94 jeep cherokee had 6inch rough country lift 33inch tires and alot of other work it was a fully built truck. Some one ran a red light hit me in the side at 50mph and sent me rolling into a electrical poll that split my truck in half. GUESS WHAT had no inshurance and lost every thing. I had tears in my eyes as I watched them put my jeep on a rollback in 2 peices.

from the pic it looks like easy bolt on fix to me.... Good time to learn more about the truck start unbolting the twisted metal.
