I converted shifter styles and need the on-off style overdrive button, instead of the momentary one that's found on the newer shifters.

honestly I'm not sure what you are talking about... It has the overdrive button on the left side of the stick as seen in the picture. The button can be in two positions, in=(overdrive on) or out=(overdrive off) The condition of the overdrive does not change until you change the position of the button. I can only assume this is what you are hunting but i am not familiar with any other auto trannys. This came out of my 97 4Runner Limited 4x4.

I will sell the stick assembly for $80 shipped and i will include a black shift bezel for an additional $20

That overdrive button can be either an on/off style button, or momentary-type depending on the year. Sounds like you have an on/off type. I think I'll try and find someone with a busted shifter so I don't have to buy a whole entire assembly. Thanks for the offer though.

that is very interesting. What models or years was it momentary? I can't for the life of me figure out why they would make an overdrive button momentary... eBay or a junkyard is your best bet. that button takes about 45 seconds to unscrew and unplug
