WTB 3rd Gen Limited 4x4 FL

I've been looking high and low for a 98-02 limited 4x4 in the NW FL/S. AL region; less than 200K miles would be nice, but not required. I'm out in Pensacola, but not opposed to driving a bit to get one.

Truck would be a daily driver with light modifications.

I think I saw one at Beach Blvd motors and another on CL over in Jax. Was thinking about making the I-10 shuffle to check them out.

ive been to look at everyone in jax thats at a dealership. problem with the dealerships around here is they try so hard to clean up and hide issues with the vehicles. i wont buy a used car from a secondhand car lot.

I have been looking for almost 2 months. Every single one that I find on craigslist is usually at some secondhand used car lot. They're never in as good a shape as they say they are in the ad, and never look as good as they do in the pictures. There's a black forerunner on Jacksonville craigslist that claims to be in almost perfect condition and wonderful and all of that. When I went and looked at it the engine been steam cleaned as if they tried to hide some kind of oil leak.A lot of little brackets that hold vacuum lines and sensors were missing the bolts so someone who did not really care tried to do something with the motor. The mounts for the front bumper are all missing the bolts on the driver side and the mounts do not lineup anymore so I think it was in a wreck. Another one I went and looked at they said was four-wheel-driveand when I got there it was a Mitsubishi Montero but they listed it as a Toyota. It has just been a depressing search for me and my wife.Beach boulevard motors is blacklisted for the Navy base here and jacks as are most of the secondhand used car lots.

Dude, good to know. I really was considering heading over to look at a few.

Sucks; I've always been able to take every car I've considered buying to the autohobby shop for my own personal look over up on a lift.

And yep, Navy. Was at NAS, now out in the cradle teaching nubs how to fly.

Good luck! Ive started searching outside of Jax now too. Lots of nice 4th gens around the but missus is dead set on a 3rd gen after we wheeled with a pair of them. She is wanting her 3rd gen Lifted, locked, and armored soccer mom mobile. She loves our old 1st gen but thats hard to put two little ones in the back of and she wont drive a standard.
