Hello, I have a 2002 4runner that I used to back into a pole with my bike rack strapped to it. It totaled the door and glass so i'm looking for a bolt-on replacement in gold color if possible. It had privacy glass and was heated.

You can have it for $250 plus shipping. I have a freight carrier that will pick it up at my office and bring it to you.

A local body shop told me it would be about $500 to paint a tailgate so i'm really hoping to find a Gold color tailgate. I'm not having much luck.

I might have to settle on one of the two offered but want to wait a bit to see if a gold one pops up.

How much would it be to ship to 97230?

If I drove up to Washington, I wonder if the tailgate would fit into the rear hatch of a Saab 900 turbo.

What's the condition of the hatch? Any damage or rust? Does the power window work? Tinted and heated glass? Would you have any photos?

Looks like i'm in for a long wait. I put my old tailgate back on then bought some smoked colored plastic and glued it on. It was expensive - over $60. At least I can drive around and lock my 4r now.

Have you tried http://car-part.com? I had the same issue and was able to find a matching tailgate for cheap and close. Make sure you ask a lot of questions about condition and request vin of the parted vehicle to confirm paint code with a dealership. Good luck.

Also, check on Craigslist. I know there's a dorado gold 4runner being parted out in Atlanta, GA. I ran across it while searching for mine. I verified the color by vin. I know it's a long way off, but door + shipping would be cheaper than door + paint.

Yeah, i'm registered there at car-part. There is a gold 2002 but is a "C" grade.

I'm not sure if I can trust someone on Craigslist especially so far away,
