WTB: 4th gen 4runner v8 2003-2004 in NC $10k

Hi,

I'm not having a ton of luck in my area (Central NC) of finding a good 2003-2004 v8 4runner reasonably priced. My absolute price limit is $10,000 and I'd prefer under 200k miles.

I'm shying away from the newer models because a lot of the issues I hear about are from the updated VVT-i engines. Are those fears and issues warranted?
