No, no, this makes perfect sense, and will work out great. No one that is willing to murder random people, would want to run afoul of a sacrosanct gun-control law..

And you are missing the point... these restrictions are arbitrary and proven to have no effect in reducing crime. It's no different than the government trying to limit your bandwidth in the name of fighting copyright piracy. I will not get over it.

Get over what part? The fact that any idiot with a double digit IQ can tell you that legislation cannot and will not change violent crime? Or the part where they think background checks will do anything to keep people from steeling guns and using them for crime?

haha everyone here knows that laws cant stop criminals. I guess the government just didnt get that memo. The more they try to disarm us the more chances the criminals get. IMO every law they pass for gun control only weakens the system. More rules for those of us who follow them and more ways for criminals to attack and completely ignore the gun control laws. Simple as that.
 
It appears folks are adamant that these laws won't have any effect on crime, so what's the BFD? Do you guys take such offense at all laws that appear to you as arbitrary and ineffective or just gun laws?

I'm not the government, you uneducated jackass, the 1st Amendment doesn't apply to me.

So, you have no valid argument on the subject and don't disagree that it has no effect on crime, but then wonder what's the BFD?

Okay sir, you can no longer put more than 2 gallons of gas in your car at a time. We want to reduce the number of DUIs. Oh and you can no longer buy memory cards for your camera above 128mb because we want to reduce the occurrence of child porn. We also want to cut one of your hands off with hopes that we will reduce domestic violence by 50%.

I'm not sure if that was a feeble attempt to offend me, but I take no issue with being called malcontent in this matter. I am dissatisfied with the way leftist politicians use tragedy to further their agenda instead of addressing real problems. I am rebellious against rules that are unjust and are without any merit whatsoever. I will always oppose things that inconvenience me or take away what I have without any real justification besides providing some false sense of security to people like you.

So, stop breathing downwind from those NJ sewage plants and learn to comprehend what you are reading.
