Why was this deleted, and by whom? I had asked a question yesterday, and I go to look for a response today, and it's gone? WTF?
SO, I guess I'll ask my question again.....
How does a 02 sensor cause a misfire code? Someone, please, explain it to me. It just doesn't make sense to me.
The reason I'm asking is because I've b een throwing a 3 & 4 misfire code for a couple months. The truck has the obvious misfire sx. Shaky idle, feels like it's got a big ass cam in it, yadda yadda.
I changed the coil packs, changed the plugs, moved the plugs around, SeaFoamed it, injectors on 2 & 4 are new, 1,3,5 & 6 are the stock ones. Compression test yeilded these results:
1-150
3-105
5-165
2-190
4-195
6-195
According to the FSM, the pressure should be a max of 174+PSI, with a minimum of 145PSI, with a difference between cylinders of 15PSI or less.
These numbers show that Cyl 3 is FUBAR. I have a pretty nice TICK TICK TICK coming from 3, so I think it's a valve not closing all the way.
This, however, DOES NOT explain the #4 Cylinder misfire.
I don't have the money to do an engine swap ATT, and I need to get this figured out.
If you might know something, help me out.
