Pretty much...i told them that it happened way before i do anything with the car.
And on top of that the alarm wont work if those lights are on
I didn't even know it had an alarm. Still in the learning process....

Hi Steve, I just got around to installing my extreme kit. I plugged the ballasts in and reversed the polarity, but my headlights will not turn on.
i did not use any relays, just the ballast and bulbs. any idea on what might be wrong? this is a '15 btw.
Edit: I put the polarity back to normal and they are working fine now.

phx4rnr: Glad to you got it working. I would always install the components as is, if the light comes on you don't have to bother reversing polarity.

I didn't use the relay harness and did not have to reverse the polarity on my 2015 model for the HID low beam kit.
I went with the LED's for the high beam and there was a relay included with it as well. I hooked up the relay & the LED's wouldn't fire up. Once, I removed the relay harness the LED's fired right up. Is there a drawback to not using the relay harness for the LED highs?

It looks like the fog lights use the same H11 bulbs as the low beam. I see a lot of people here have gone with LEDs for the fog lights. Any advantage/disadvantage to these over the HID? Install difficulty, durability, etc.?
Also, since there is a nice sale on XD's website for today, I want to order some LED turn signal bulbs for the front as well. Would I just swap these in for the existing turn signal bulbs, and would everything work? One of my previous vehicles needed some resistors to be tapped into the wiring harness.

[MENTION=60898]Paragon1[/MENTION] - Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad that you're happy with the H11 HID kit. You will notice that the Philips 4300k bulbs will color shift after approximately 100 hours. They will reach color temperatures of roughly 4700k once they do.
The pictures you posted certainly show quite a difference in the light output.... Although, The HIDs really look that yellow compared to the LEDs... Did you find that the case in "real-life," or is more of a camera thing?

You can always opt for the more expensive 5000k bulbs that color shift a bit less. (google, I think TRS sells a few). They will retail the "blue" band a bit more--but for the genuine "flicker" that comes from select projectors with clear lenses, a retrofit is required. (heavy blue band right at the cutoff from projectors like Acura RDX/Lexus R330/Porsche/s2000).
If you actually go off-road a lot, specifically involving water crossings, you also want to pay attention to where you mount the ballasts. I would highly recommend either buying potted (open up the ballast, and seal the electronics with a goop/membrane) ballasts, or finding a local retrofitter to open them up, pour in the goop, and put it all back together.
HIDplanet will find you a local retrofitter able to do this.
