XenonDepot HID vs LED, initial photo. (Pics reposted)

Im on the fence between the 4300K and 5000K, mostly due to the color of the 4300k. For those with the 4300K with the LED Pro's, how well do they match up color wise, it it noticeable but not really that much of a difference? Do most think the 4300K's have a bit of yellow tinge seen from the front? How about the road seen from the cab?, slight yellow or looks white?

Why did you regret purchasing the 6500K kit?

It seems like they aren't throwing as far as the 4300k kit. I believe it is sacrificing some output in favor of the blue-ish tint.

Yes I saw that it’s a great video but it doesn’t show how he connects the relays to the batterie etc. everything is perfect though. Guess I’ll have to make one specifically for the relays/hid install

Ok guys it’s been about a week since I installed my xenon HID kit with Philips bulbs, shipping was fast package arrived non damaged instructions were pretty good didn’t need video after all, I’m a little disappointed on the output of the bulbs not as clear as I was expecting not sure if the extra money is for the brand of the bulbs or maybe longer lasting bulbs. Maybe I should of gone with a cheaper 5000K bulb. Anyhow just wanted to share my thoughts..

I put 4300K Philips HID kits and 5000K HID kits low beam to both of my 4Runners.
They seem dim at night.
Not sure if there is anything I did wrong.

I had the same experience I only got the 4300K Phillips sad to hear the 5000K is the same I don’t think you did anything wrong

I have had the 4300k for a while now.l It definitely has a yellow tinge compared to LED that I have in the high beams. If you want them to match, the 5000k would be better I think.

Anyone heard from XenonDepot lately? I reached out a couple weeks ago for help and they've gone completely silent. One of my LED low beams was flickering and now runs at about half brightness, maybe a year old. Anyone else have issues with their LEDs?

XD Philips XV2 HID

Has anyone tried the new Xenon Depot Philips XV2 (4800k) HID kit? Not sure how long it's been out but I just ordered it for my 19 TRD ORP so if anyone's interested I will post some beam shots once they're installed.

I installed the Xenon Depot XV2 HIDs and they are awesome but one of the bulbs is about half as bright as the other (tested on both sides to verify). I emailed XD and although it took them a few days to respond, they are sending a replacement bulb out. I'll post a vid and pics of my setup soon.

I am now just waiting on the replacement bulb that was sent out. I'd suggest that you guys hire a couple more support folks, it's been difficult to get ahold of anyone via phone and email. Still won't deter me from buying XD products because you guys are far superior, but if anyone else is experiencing what I have been they might not be repeat customers. Time is $$.. I can only be on hold for so long and so many days in a row.

Regardless, I am still a huge fan and appreciate the great support XD provides when available.

Overall I really like them. Definitely brighter than any LED I've tried in the low beam, although much more expensive. I'd recommend it, especially for the 4800k color which is right in the middle - and I assume they will get cooler after some use.

I took some night shots with the XD Philips XV2s in lows, DDM Saber 50w LEDs in highs, and my Squadron Pro's (driving combo) mounted on Rago low pro ditch brackets. It's stupid bright all together, illuminates several hundred yards in any front direction. The XV2s and have some pretty far throw depending on the positioning of the vehicle.

Unfortunately I can't upload these 12mp pics due to the small 137kb file limit. Anyone have suggestions on the best way to share high res pics on the site?

Just installed my XenonDepot HID Extreme kit, with the XD 4300K bulbs.

1. Shipping was super fast.
2. Product is exactly as described.
3. Installation was very easy with the help of a youtube video.
4. I regret going with the 4300k color. Probably should have gotten 5K. I have the 2in1 fog DRLs, and the 4300k are very much yellow compared to those. In no way to I fault XenonDepot for this. Frankly, the information was probably avialable on their website. I can't even really explain WHY I picked the 4300k since I kind of expected them to be just a shade on the yellowish side!!
5. The positive lead on the harnesses could be maybe like... four inches longer. I ended up with a pretty sloppy cable management job mostly because I didn't feel like splicing a few more inches on. Obviously not a problem for driver (battery) side harness, but the passenger side could be JUST A LITTLE BIT longer IMO.

Overall thrilled with XenonDepot and the package. Headlights are an enormous upgrade even if the color wasn't exactly what I wanted - that is entirely on me. Maybe after a few months with the 4300k's I'll buy some 5ks, since I imagine it should be more or less plug and play now that I have my harnesses and ballast installed already.
