Yakima Cargo Box Question

Hello All, we are in the market to purchase a cargo box for the factory cross bars in our new 2015 TRD Pro 4runner. When looking online, it states that they fit most factory cross bars, but when we go to build it on Yakima, none of the boxes show up as an option when we select that we have the factory cross bars. Does anyone have any success with these boxes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use a Yakima Skybox with no issues

The clamps don't hit/rub on the roof? Are you using the factory crossbars?

I have an SkyBox18 and it fit perfect on my 3rd Gen. Honestly with the extra room in the 5th gen I hadn't needed it so I haven't tried to fit it yet. I'll certainly be happy if it does :)

yep factory crossbars and no issues with the clamps

I have a 2015 Yakima Skybox 16 and it fits perfect on the factory rack/crossbars. However, the positioning needs to be fairly far forward for lift gate clearance. We tried the Yakima LoPro first and it was too long for the lift gate using factory crossbars.

I have a Thule box, the clamps can make contact with the roof when putting it on but never had any damage from them but the lift gate totally got scratched by it being a bit long. That was my excuse to get a full length roof rack though, probably could have just gotten aftermarket cross bars maybe as it was close in the back, but what fun is that.

I had a Thule Pulse Alpine, oddly enough it fir my 2011 GTI with OEM accessory roof racks, but it didn't fit my 2011 4Runner with factory roof bars. It sat to low so it ht shark fin and it couldn't go far enough forward to get the spoiler to clear the back of the box.
