YAY! Headlight problems Again

So for a couple of months I have been dealing with my headlights coming on randomly but the problem was intermittent and I could not replicate it. Whenever I pulled the relay and reinstalled it the problem would go away reliably for about 3 to 4 weeks.

So now I think the problem has fully developed and I think I know what the problem is but verification is always nice.

So now only one headlight comes on (the left one) and it is very bright. Fuses are all good but I noticed that when I checked the LH fuse for corrosion that the bulb stayed on. So I pulled the other fuse and then they both went off.

Now if I install the RH HL fuse first then it will turn on, but it's dim. When I put the LH fuse in the RH bulb turns off and the LH HL is very bright.

Seems to me I am grounding out somewhere after the fuses.

Two ways to fix:

1. Replace the wiring back to the fuse box with new and pin the new wire. Seems simple enough if I can find the pins I need for the toyota fuse box

2. Since Toyota's wiring is remarkably wimpy anyway and just add the headlights into my auxiliary box. It would fill it up with the 2 relays and probably makes sense. Everything in there is lighting anyway.

However I believe, from my research, that the 98 4runner with no DRL is ground switched which presents a bit of a problem. I would have to convert the ground switched to hot switched if I want to continue the use of the stock dongle (which I do)
