You have to be smarter than the rear door panels... And I am not... Please help!!!

How do you reinstall the rear doors panels??? I couldn't sleep and I was in the zone doing sound deaden on the rear doors and then I spent the past hour trying to figure out how to put it the panel back on... I tried all the angles tilting it forward and back trying to attach it the edge closest to the car then tried to attached the lip/edge farthest away... If there is a thread on the rear panels if someone could send me the link that would be awesome... The front go on so easy no clue what I am missing here...

I Just realized the write-up that I followed for the front doors from sp8ball/Antman has a write-ups for the rears on the next page... My bad:doh:

Yep, it's easy if you remove the top panel weather strip that seals against the window from the panel and install that first, then install the panel to the weather strip and door. I take mine off all the time and can re-install them in no time at all.

I had the same problem with those rear door panels. In frustration, I grabbed a pair of side-cutters and snipped off that "spikey" looking thing. Panel goes right on, no trouble. I figured there are 3 screws and at least 10 of those pop-in clips to hold it on there. They have been fine, so far.

Ditto! It's like that white plastic barb is just a little too big IMO.

In addition, my inner door sheet metal seemed to bend inward in the middle of the window (towards the window) making the door panels even HARDER to seat on the lip. I gently pulled them out (towards the inside of the truck away from the window), and this also made getting them back on a LOT easier. I must have spent 30 minutes trying to re-install the door panel before I realized this...

^^^^What he said. Taking that weather strip off allows the entire panel to just pop back on there.

Thanks for all the responses... I gave it a solid 2- 2 1/2 hours to try to get it back on but I was nervous I was going to bend the white/green cables or stretch them out as I kept trying different angles to get the top lip on locked on... Chop goes the white spike...

Wish I knew that! Removed back panels twice to mat and upgrade speakers. Struggled both times to reinstall. Could not figure out what the issue was and what was the correct method. Been wanting to do more but was not looking forward to it. Now I have no more excuses.
