Your girlfriend gets mad at you because you spend so much money and time working on it and in you head you are thinking what can i do to it next!

Your parents say "with all the money you have put into that you could have bought a new car!" and your reply is "I dont want a new car it is not as nice as my 3rd gen!"

You take it out with others with 36's and 38's and they are like DAM, cant believe that thing is making it out here! then get it so stuck it stalls my buddys 7.3 powerstoke!

When you see a jeep, you are like I dont care, every one and any one can do a jeep. It takes a real man to do a toyota!

When you hear some one talking about gas milage in there truck, and you just laf, and tell them what you get, and they dont say a word!

When you are driving it, you dont answer your phone because you love driving it so much you dont want to get distracted!

When I bought mine I paid cash for it and my brother and my mom said I could have put that $ towards a great down payment on a new car. I told them I don't want new, I do what I want and I got what I wanted. A 2000 highlander with locker.

Haha, I feel like I have an actual relationship with this truck, owned it for almost a year now. Its helped me through some hard times, so I feel obligated to help it through ball joints, axle seals, blown head gaskets, and whatever else it throws my way! On the other hand, my wallet doesn't feel the same way...

For instance, yesterday I was working and the guys put all the palates of sod right were we needed to lay all the sod, so I hooked up my winch around the palate and put it in 4 low and spun all 4(really 2) dragging them around! It was so much fun at work!

lol, I took mine to the emissions lane on Monday, and had 2 people offer to buy it. I'm like, "yaaaaaaa no, it's not for sale."

the first guy was like "wow, that must have SUPER low miles!" I said, "well ya, for a Toyota. It's got 136k on it." He couldn't believe it. Then he said, "well, you must not drive it in the winter", and I said "nope, it's been through 16 of them!"

My rear axle seal/ passenger side is leaking. I had it replaced once but now it leaking again. is there a know defect to the axles of the 3rd gens?

check to make sure your diff breather isn't clogged. extend it while you're there (search diff breather extension).

that or a bent axle shaft...

When you consider all 4Runner Generations after the 3rd ugly. And Gen 1,2,3 are the best ever. :rockon:
I think the 2014 is the worst. BTW, is that considered a 6th gen or just a "botox-ed" 5th Gen.:flamewar:
