Your fave GPS app for iPhone?

Primary travel areas with lots of other drivers: Waze
Secondary paved roads where Waze may not be that accurate (it's user-edited): Google Maps
Off-road and areas where I know I won't have service: PDF Maps app with pre-downloaded USGS Quad maps

I ran Backcountry Navigator off-road years ago on an Android and loved it, but it didn't make the transition when I switched to the dark side (Apple).

Also I keep seeing ads for the Hema Explorer ap. It's been in the rest of the world for a while but was just expanded to the US. It looks promising. Pre-download various maps, including current and legacy USGS maps. The road map selection in the US is still somewhat slim, but maybe it will improve.

Google Maps! However, I do wish it had a feature where you can program two-stops or to hit the highway after a certain point...

gais - resolution and accuracy is outstanding, don't need cellular for it too work. lots of cool/useful/simple features

If youre talking off road, I also really enjoy Backcountry Nav. Im only using the lite version on Android, so not sure if it translates over to Apple, but its by far the best app Ive found for off road.

Also, Google Maps now offers the ability to download whole areas offline, you could probably do a whole state if the memory is there. But used that quite a bit too and it works wonderfully and is also easier to navigate with.

Backcountry Navigator does NOT work on Apple products, or I'd already have it.
