so in Alaska things are not cheap. lots of on line guys like cameback or mcgeorge charge tons to ship to me, in alaska and it is nuts,,,plus other stuff
an example...ring 9030111016 cost here $10.11
mcgeorge....less than 5
thing is mcgeorge etc wont ship to places other than your credit card zip code
so I cant send to my son i the lower 48 and beat the crazy shipping charges.

I usually find work arounds such as partssouq, arayana, etc, but it only makes sence if you have a big order, but still they were high shipping

last time I went to use partsouq, i looked at a rear wiper bllade, dealer here 33. Partsouq, 15 +14 shipping

True. When I was stationed in Kodiak, being able to fly around all over Alaska, we were able to load up whatever and throw it the back of the Herc and not have to worry about shipping cost. If you have any friends stationed at Eielson that'd be your way to save shipping, otherwise you'll just have to deal with being in remote areas of the CONUS.

not being rude...fist issue is getting to alaska...after that for me is no extra biggy...shipping to me is same as to fairbanks. the big hit is lower 48 to ak.

I can't imagine the shipping issues to Alaska nor HI. Sorry to hear that 3Bears its such a headache. Yes JoeJoe is around created his own group. I guess he even trade marked some words or phrases. I hear some folks have had issues getting what they ordered from him as well. They even created a group to share their experiences of orders never received from him as well. I just stay clear of those groups as all they due is cause drama. However, he is still around and maybe that's a better option for you. :-) Best of Luck. :-)

thanks guys
yes joe joe is always an option,
something reallly big and heavy I can drop ship to a consolidator in seattle who then can put it with the shipments that come to our business and I only have to pay the extra weight.

the thing with dealer up here, is if I need something TODAY and have to go to the dealer

the funny thing is when I lived in Oregon, the same dealer would match any internet price. That same oregon dealer owns the yota dealer in anchorage and fairbanks, he knows he has a locked in market.
