First off, thank you to everyone on this forum that helped me with any dumb annoying questions I might have had. I've got a lot of help from people on here, and DEFINITELY could not have done these mods myself. Also gotta say thanks to my brother for soo much help. His knowledge with cars and has helped me big time. (He has a 95 firehawk and a 69 charger) Since getting this 4Runner, I met some cool helpful people here, and am learning A LOT.
Here's my build:

My 1999 4Runner highlander edition-Current:

First car I owned when I was 16 was a 98 Mitsubishi mirage

Then came along my 91 Toyota mr2 Turbo

MR2 was having problems and I got tired of being cramped and got a 96 4Runner 2WD

Found this forum, got bit by the mod bug, and that's where my wallet started losing weight...
I blacked out every peice of chrome, depinstriped, tinted the windows all around, etc.

Made my HELLA STOCK! horns

Eventually led to getting some new tires and painting rims

I then got my new to me 99 highlander edition 4x4 with rear locker (Oct. 2011)

Then swapped all mods from the old to the new

I have to say I was a little jealous of your 4runner after we lifted it yesterday. It looks awesome and the back will settle. Looking forward to the next mods.

Thanks! Im so happy with it. It rides so much better now too. I still need to measure how much lift I got. And thats funny because I was getting a little jelous of yours, after seeing it in person with the nice clean dark red. I started second guessing my all black lol. Yea my brother is a mopar american muscle guy. He got the charger like 20 years ago I think, and he built up a new motor for it himself, its sorta his dream lifelong project.

UPDATE: 12/4/11

Did the rear diff breather mod and looped it up behind the gas filler. Couldn't figure out how to take off that rubber boot that surrounds the filler, so I ended up just coming in from behind it and had to take out a plastic cover and zip tie it back on, probably worked out easier...

Also did the blue wire mod. Can't wait for some mud/snow donuts....mmmm....donuts...

ANDDDD along with my yellow fog light bulbs, I tinted the lens yellow. Most probably won't like this, but I LOVE it and think it'll look great once I get HIDs.

Smart move too.
You can do a lot with 2wd but I would miss LO reduction.

Update: 12/18/11

Plasti dipped my rear license plate housing. I was in a hurry because I had work and like a dumbass I rushed and sprayed too much and you can see a little bit of drip marks. Not horrible, but not perfect. Oh well, maybe will redo it later, doesn't bug me too much and cant really notice unless you are close and stare at it.

Next up will be that faded bumper step cover.

Looks great, but I wouldn't Plastidip the bumper pad.....that will scratch and peel the second you step on it.

There is a product you can buy which treats the faded trim, it's not permanent, but darn near. I believe it's a dye.....and called Back to Black...or Black Magic or something.....

Again, the hatch looks great!

Your truck looks awesome. I don't love the red shackles but who cares. Nice trade up from the 2wd as well.

How about using one of these for your faded black plastics? I've never used it personally myself.

Forever Black restores a dark, black, finish on sun-faded bumpers and body moldings. Forever Black permanently dyes black plastic, rubber and vinyl.

Hmm, that looks pretty cool. Easier than painting for sure. If I can find some at a local store I'll pick some up. And thanks man, you're truck is definitely an inspiration.
