Zero Point Calibration, with Check engine light on?

I was just going to start a thread about the problem I had, when I saw the post about the zero point calibration. This is exactly what happened to me, I went in for an emission test, they hooked up the reader, and when I left, the VSC trac and VSC off lights were lit and the check engine light. The article says the check engine light shouldn't come on. Will this same fix work? Has anybody else had this and is there a different solution. It sounds a little confusing, but will print it out and give it a shot.

Those VSC lights will come on anytime the CEL is triggered.
So you may not need to do a zero point calibration

Pull the EFI fuse for more than 30 seconds and see if that clears the lights.

Why the EFI fuse? I'll give it a shot. I've already disconnected the negative battery post for a bit, but the lights came on soon after. Should I still go ahead and try this?

You probably have another problem. Run the code and see what it is. I'm curious, did you pass the emissions check?
