What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

After seeing several posts and videos of people emptying their oil catch cans... it motivated me to install my own. Extremely easy mod, and something that makes me sleep easier at night if nothing more.

Next mod? Clearly spend some time under the hood with a little soap and water... yeesh. Disgraceful.

Headed out to BAMF at lunch and picked up this thing from Jerry.
Baja Designs lights will be delivered tomorrow.
Wife is helping me tear apart headlights tonight for the retrofit.

Now how do I coat the bumper?

I'll let you know! I plan on chopping/pushing/banging/cutting for the next few days. I only have one tire mounted on a wheel right now, but hoping to have everything rolling by the end of the week. Depends on how long it takes to acquire some 106/112 hub centric rings.

Had 285/70R17 Falken Wildpeaks put on today. Rubbed on front fender liner and still have some rubbing on the body mount.

They didn't give me alignment numbers when the lift was installed so I am going to have them check the caster and hopefully that fixes the body mount rub.

You want about 4* caster. If that doesn't solve it, take the wheel spacers off. They are definitely causing some of the problems with rubbing.

Anyone know what the outlet side of the OEM muffler is? Tail pipe OD right at the muffler.

Without spacers it'll rub on the ucas. I might have to choose between the spots.

May come down to buying wheels with the correct back spacing or doing a BMC It's a shame, those trail wheels look really good. Just not the best for wider tires and JBA arms are prone to rubbing. They have more rubbing issues than any other arm on the market.

Is that 4* caster mainly just to try to clear the larger tires? Mine is 1.8*
I am running TRD wheels and 255/75/R17 tires, just had mine aligned and these are the numbers. Anything here look bad?

Nope, 4* is to help with crowned roads and keep the truck going straight with bigger tires. To get 4* with anything over a 2" lift you will need new upper control arms. I ran a 3" lift with stock uppers and got 1* of caster. Truck was all over the road if the road was crowned, it was a struggle to drive it. Steering was also very twitchy and just overall unpleasant to drive.

What suspension are you running if I may ask?

Installed my radar detector today. Radenso Pro M using a Mirror Tap. Worked fantastic. FYI. Blue for power and Black/White is ground. Suctions cups for the radar mount would not hold well, so I switched to double sided automotive tape. Worked like a dream. High, tight and solid.

I have the Eibach Pro kit, with stock upper arms. Its about 2.75" or so of lift in the front.
Only got a chance to drive it just alittle so far, but seems ok. I will see how it feels after some more time behind the wheel.
Anyone know what all the IDEAL, or stock numbers are supposed to be?

Not sure what stock is but stock is meaningless now that you're lifted. The 1.8 is likely all you'll get at 2.75 and stock uppers. If you're happy with it, that's what counts. See how it is after you put some miles on it.

5100s in the front and Dobinsons springs front and back. I don't know exactly how much lift I ended up with. It is a pretty significant difference from stock, though. I did a quick wheel/tire test fit today. Crazy rubbing on the back side of the fender well. I couldn't even get it turned far enough to see if it hit the body mount. I'll try it without the spacer later to see what that looks like. Really don't want to fork out the cash for UCAs yet but I have the feeling it won't be optional. Looks great though FWIW haha
